Chicora Voices Choirs

Cadet
Laura Jean Reed leads the Cadet Choir training ensemble for boys ages seven and up – building the foundational skills to sing well for a lifetime. The Cadet Choir rehearses on Mondays, 4:00-5:30 p.m., at Pendleton Street Baptist Church in downtown Greenville.
Prelude
Laura Jean Reed leads the Prelude Choir training ensemble for girls ages seven and up – building the foundational skills to sing well for a lifetime. The Prelude Choir rehearses on Tuesdays, 4:00-5:30 p.m., at Pendleton Street Baptist Church in downtown Greenville.
Boys
Directed by Alan Reed, the Boys Choir develops more advanced treble boys in elementary and middle school who sing a variety of styles and music well-suited to a boy’s unchanged voice. The Boys Choir rehearses on Tuesdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Pendleton Street Baptist Church in downtown Greenville.
Girls
Directed by Laura Jean Reed, the Girls Choir brings together more experienced elementary and middle school girls and explores a variety of choral repertoire throughout the year. The Girls Choir rehearses on Tuesdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Pendleton Street Baptist Church in downtown Greenville.
Young Men
This advanced ensemble is comprised of changing and changed voice males in older middle school and high school. Alan Reed leads the young men to artistic heights both as a stand-alone choir and in combination with the Chicora Boys and Chicora Young Women. The Chicora Young Men rehearse on Mondays, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Pendleton Street Baptist Church.
Young Women
Laura Jean Reed conducts this advanced ensemble for young women in older middle school and high school, performing more demanding treble choir repertoire suited for their voices. They also perform mixed repertoire in combination with the Chicora Girls and Chicora Young Men. The Chicora Young Women rehearse on Mondays, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Pendleton Street Baptist Church in downtown Greenville.
